How does it work?
Menu Vision is available for restaurants, food and nightlife businesses that have at least five separate dish photos on their Yelp business page. If there are no photos for a specific dish, the feature will not surface a button for that item.Menu Vision works best on printed and digital menus with clear text. Only English menus are supported at this time.
Please note that you must enable camera permissions to use Menu Vision. In order for Menu Vision to pop-up automatically the first few times you use it, you may have to enable location settings and be within 100 meters of the business.
To use Menu Vision:
- Open the business’s Yelp page on the mobile app
- Navigate to the the business’s Photos and Videos page
- At the top of the screen, tap Menu Vision on iPhone/iPad or the camera icon on the upper right corner for Android
- Tap Allow to enable camera access
- Point your device’s camera over the physical or digital menu to begin scanning
